In the alphaCUT®, the filter cartridge is cut to the final size.
After removing the potting caps, the previously sealed and potted hollow fiber membranes are opened by several cutting processes.
After cutting, the cut surfaces are subjected to a visual inspection. If required, an automatic camera-based cut surface inspection or the automated measurement of other relevant process parameters can also be integrated.
Depending on the equipment of the production line, the visual inspection is followed by the assembly and screwing of the sealing caps, which complete the product. Finally, the dry weight of the products is determined in the alphaCUT® before the upcoming wet density test (alphaFLOW®).
